The MTT EnerTwin 3 kWe micro-CHP system was connected to the electrical grid of the TNO building in Eindhoven at the gala ceremony on April 12, 2013. The establishment of this landmark connection was witnessed by Jan-Willem Kelder from the TNO Board of Directors and Ellen Breugem from E.ON. E.ON is the energy supplier of TNO.

The EnerTwin delivers up to 3 kW of electric power and 14.4 kW of heat at the overall efficiency of 87 %. MTT has worked on the development of the EnerTwin in close cooperation with  E.ON and TNO in the past few years. As stated by Ellen Breugem: “E.ON is continuously looking for new and innovative energy solutions within the framework of the Clean & Better Energy program”. One of the first EnerTwin’s will soon go into a field trial service at E.ON.
