Micro Turbine Technology BV (MTT) (www.mtt-eu.com) is an innovative company located in Eindhoven. MTT develops micro turbines for various applications, currently focused on the international commercialization of the EnerTwin. MTT very recently closed a new investment round supporting the scale-up phase it is now entering.

The product

The EnerTwin (www.enertwin.com) is designed to accelerate the Energy Transition in historic buildings and old city centers and has been awarded the Solar impulse Foundation label as one of the 1000 clean and profitable solutions protecting the environment. EnerTwin is a very efficient domestic power plant that can operate on various clean fuels such as biomethane, renewable gas and mixtures of hydrogen with natural gas. A 100% hydrogen version is under development.

Field support & Service

Following MTT’s roll-out of the EnerTwin is Western Europe, commissioning and service are paramount to the product-experience of the initial customer base. During the previous phase of field-testing, the technology, basic monitoring and maintenance services have been set up. Now MTT has fully commercialized its EnerTwin product, the service department needs to be expanded and professionalized accordingly. Services are mainly provided through local dealers. Training, spare-part management and support to those dealers is key to achieving company goals. The manager Support & Service will be responsible for the ongoing development of the aftersales customer-experience as well as the contribution to product-improvement. MTT is looking to create a healthy financial contribution from its services to the P&L.

Job specification

The job consists of:

  • Further development, organization and management of the support organization in line with company goals
  • Coaching, developing and managing your team
  • Collect customer and field experience for product improvement
  • Expand and manage the support- and installation partner network throughout Europe (including external partners)
  • Organizing second line support to installers
  • Monitor, select and implement novel maintenance concepts and -support tools for predictive maintenance optimizing reliability and profitability
  • Supervision of manuals, training material and other relevant documentation
  • Provision of training to installers in installation, commissioning and maintenance of MTT products
  • Monitoring and manage spare part inventory and supply process
  • Structure and manage the administrative processes and -actions for product delivery, maintenance and invoicing
  • Assist within MTT process improvements

  • Open, committed, customer-facing people manager
  • Self-reliant: capable to independently define and execute tasks
  • Pro-active-, reliable and structured work attitude
  • Understands that customers may generate high-priority issues outside office-hours that need immediate follow-up by the team or partners
  • Language proficiency:
    • English: good level required
    • German: prefered
  • Drivers license (B)
  • Prepared to travel to installation partners and corporate customers (within EU)

 

Education and experience

  • BSc in Mechanical or Electric Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years work experience in a managerial technical services environment
  • Capable to work with supporting computer programs and Microsoft office
  • Relevant middle management education
