Job specification

As a Development Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, testing and integration of hardware and software solutions for controlling a µCHP system. The job consists of:

  • continuous development (specification, design, testing, qualification and integration) of the electromechanical subcomponents (high-speed generator, power inverters) of a micro gas turbine
  • contact with supply partners, defining specifications and monitoring the supply of the electrical and electromechanical components for the µCHP system
  • implementation of solutions for the system compliance with safety, performance and EMC norms as well as national grid standards for the connection of micro-generators
  • taking roles in EU and national R&D projects
  • troubleshooting (fault diagnosis) ofelectrical systems and laboratory equipment (software and hardware)
  • maintaining and improving of embedded controller software
  • development of test/pass-off programs in LabVIEW and/or C/C++

Professional qualifications


  • Testing and laboratory measurements
  • Digital signal processing and communication protocols

  • Numerical computing (Matlab/Simulink, Scilab/Xcos, Octave)
  • (Embedded) C/C++
  • National Instruments LabVIEW
  • Source code version control


Education and experience

  • in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics / Computer Science
  • Knowledgeof power electronics and control
  • 3+ or more years of relevant work experience

Allround mechanic (1,0 FTE)

MTT is searching for an allround mechanic (1,0 FTE, with relevant work experience (> 3 years) in the automotive, assembly and/or fine mechanical construction)

Business overview

Micro Turbine Technology (MTT) is a high-tech company located in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. MTT is developing micro gas turbines for various applications. MTT has developed and commercialised the EnerTwin, a micro CHP system (combined heat power). The EnerTwin reduces the energy cost by around 30%, while at the same time CO2 emissions are substantially reduced. Commercial launch was in January 2018.

Are you interested in being part of the EnerTwin team? Then we are looking for you, an enthusiastic independent all-round mechanic who will assist our local installers in maintaining the EnerTwin micro CHP systems and support the MTT's development team.

Job specification

The all-round mechanic will be deployed for maintenance and fault analysis of the systems placed in the MTT lab, at our customers (throughout Europe), initially under the guidance of MTT engineers. After internal training, you will work independently with support from the MTT office. Keeping the MTT lab space organized is also a part of your work. MTT is an internationally orientated company where free and open internal communication is an essential part of the internal culture.


  • Experience in technical assembly obtained in industry or experience as an automotive engineer
  • Knowledge of fine mechanics, automotive engineering, mechatronics or electrical engineering
  • Able to work independently
  • Practical attitude and capable of effective planning of work

  • Accurate work style and capable of following internal procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • Reasonable knowledge of the English language
